Meet Jonah Chipeco

Jonah’s journey with words began in grade school—armed with a pencil, a notebook, and a growing love for poetry, essays, and storytelling. In high school, she joined the speech and journalism clubs, naturally blending her passions for writing and public speaking. It was no surprise when she chose to pursue Mass Communication in college, where she honed her skills and built the foundation for a future in media and communication.

After graduation, she entered the world of sales and marketing, but writing never left her side. On top of her day job as a marketer,  she began freelancing in 2011 and eventually worked as a marketing manager for Habitat for Humanity Philippines—a role that would lead her to an unexpected turning point. In February 2015, Jonah was invited to represent her organisation at a major conference at the Manila Hotel, attended by over 600 Overseas Filipinos from around the world. She delivered a heartfelt 10-minute speech, presenting the work of Filipino volunteers, and capped it with an impromptu solo of Babalik Ka Rin. It was in that moment, with her voice echoing through the ballroom and colleagues cheering her on, that Jonah realised: She wasn’t just a speaker for the day—she had found her calling.

A few months later, in June 2015, Jonah experienced a life-altering accident at an MRT station on her way to a meeting. Though she recovered physically, the moment forced her to pause and reflect. She asked herself, “What do I want to do with my life?” The answer was clear: to speak, write, and travel the world.

In 2016, she leaped—leaving her day job to become a professional trainer and speaker. Two years later, she founded Writing Hacks Academy, an online school that has empowered over 10,000 professionals through writing courses, seminars, and ebooks.

During the 2020 pandemic, Jonah further expanded her mission—helping coaches, authors, and experts share their message through books and online courses.

Today, she’s a trusted speaker, delivering keynotes and training sessions across the Philippines and beyond—including Ghana, Costa Rica, and the USA.

Jonah is a proud member of the Philippine Association of Professional Speakers, accredited by the Global Speakers Federation. She continues to use her written and spoken voice to help others lead with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
